The Indian Postal Department has released the India Post GDS Recruitment Notification 2025, inviting applications for 21,413 vacancies in the roles of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevak. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. The application process commenced on February 10, 2025, and will remain open until March 3, 2025. A window for corrections in submitted applications will be available from March 6 to March 8, 2025.

Vacancy Distribution

The recruitment drive will fill vacancies across 23 postal circles, including Uttar Pradesh (3004 posts), Tamil Nadu (2292 posts), Assam (1870 posts), Gujarat (1203 posts), and Kerala (1385 posts). A detailed state-wise breakdown is available on the official website.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have passed the 10th standard with Mathematics and English from a recognized board.

Applicants should have studied the local language of the respective postal circle up to Class 10.

Basic computer knowledge and cycling skills are mandatory.

Candidates must possess an adequate means of livelihood.

Age Limit:

Minimum Age: 18 years

Maximum Age: 40 years (Relaxation as per government norms)

Salary Structure

Branch Postmaster (BPM): ₹12,000 – ₹29,380 per month

Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) / Dak Sevak: ₹10,000 – ₹24,470 per month

Application Fee

General/OBC/EWS: ₹100

SC/ST/PWD/Female/Transwomen Candidates: No fee

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a merit list generated from the 10th standard marks, calculated to an accuracy of four decimal places. No written examination will be conducted. The final selection includes:
