Hyderabad: Nagabhushan Reddy, owner of Shree Ram Catering in Hyderabad, has created a colossal 1,265Kg laddu as an offering for the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. The sweet delicacy, meticulously prepared by a team of 30 individuals working round the clock for 24 hours, will be transported in a refrigerated glass box from Hyderabad to Ayodhya, commencing the journey on January 17.
Reddy shared, "Inspired by the Bhoomi Pooja of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, we decided to present a daily 1Kg laddu from the Bhoomi Pooja to the temple opening. The culmination of this effort is the 1,265 kg laddu, symbolizing our devotion to Sri Ram."
Sweet master Dushasan expressed his joy, stating, "This is the first time I have undertaken such a monumental task. We have put in tremendous effort to ensure the laddu remains intact during travel."
In other developments, the idol of Lord Ram Lalla will tour the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple premises as part of the week-long Pran Pratishtha ceremony. Various rituals, including Jalayatra and Teertha Puja, will be conducted on Wednesday, January 17.
The temple witnessed the performance of Panchgavyaprashan, involving Panchgavya (milk, urine, dung, ghee, and curd) on Tuesday. Shri Anil Mishra, as part of the Pratishtha Mahotsav, purified essential belongings in the Saryu river and conducted worship of Vishnu, followed by Panchgavyaprashan.
Karmakuti Homa, recitation of Valmiki's Ramayana, and Bhusundiramayana also marked the temple's preparations. General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Champat Rai, announced the temple's opening for 'darshan' to the general public starting January 23, with extensive preparations underway for the anticipated event attended by dignitaries and people from all walks of life.
