''The 69th Filmfare Awards was organized in the GIFT (Gujarat International Finance Tec-City) of Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Over the years, Gujaratis have worked day and night to make Gujarat one of the top states in the county in every field. We often see that the Filmfare Awards are held in Mumbai. This would be the first time that the Filmfare Awards Gujarat Film Industry was organized outside Mumbai in GIFT City, Gandhinagar. In the coming days, there will be huge opportunities for Gujarat film production.''

The star-studded Filmfare Awards ceremony in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, attracted stars and leaders alike. The host state of the awards, Gujarat's home minister, Harsh Sanghavi, expressed his happiness over the event taking place in Gujarat and added that there are huge possibilities and opportunities for Gujarat cinema production. Speaking at the 69th Filmfare Awards, the home minister hoped for a bright future for Gujarat cinema and wished that the regional cinema cross the national realms and earn pride for the entire nation. Harsh Sanghavi's statement on the Film Industry blessed hope for all the regional artists. Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, and the state president, CR Patil, also attended the event along with the home minister.

Harsh Sanghavi, the current home minister of Gujarat, contested the Gujarat 2012 assembly elections as the youngest candidate in Gujarat at the age of 27 and won by a significant margin. Harsh Sanghavi also handles the portfolio of cultural activities and has an immense interest and passion for working towards the benefit of artists. He uses his power to empower the youth to drive the wheels of change in society and strives to do the same for budding talent in drama and cinema.

Films like 12th Pass, Animal, Sam Bahadur, and Rocky Rani ki Prem Kahani scored high on the winning list, while Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Rani Mukherjee, Vikrant Massey and Vicky Kaushal stood out for their performances.
