Gujarat 12th Results 2025: 83.51% Clear Science, 93.07% General

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board on Monday released the Class 12 Science stream results, reporting that 83.51 per cent of candidates passed, up 1.06 percentage points from 2024. In the HSC General stream, 93.07 per cent of students cleared their exams, an increase of 1.14 percentage points from last year.

A total of 100,575 students appeared for the Science stream examination, down 10,557 from 2024. Male candidates recorded a pass rate of 83.79 per cent, while female candidates achieved an 83.20 per cent pass rate.

Gondal recorded the highest district pass rate at 96.60%, and Dahod the lowest at 54.48 per cent. Among all districts, Morbi registered a 92.91% pass rate, while Dahod district recorded 59.15 per cent.

In the Science stream, students in the Gujarati medium recorded an 83.77 per cent pass rate, compared with 83.49 per cent for the English medium. Group B students, who took Biology, Physics and Chemistry, achieved a 78.74 per cent pass rate, up 0.4 percentage points from 2024. In Group A, comprising Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, 91.90 per cent passed, an increase of 1.79 percentage points.

Of the Science stream candidates, 831 scored above the 90th percentile, and 8,083 scored above the 80th percentile.

In the HSC General stream, 362,506 students sat for the exams, down 15,762 from 2024. Female candidates recorded a 95.23 per cent pass rate, compared with 90.78 per cent for male candidates.

Chalal, Chandrala, Limodara, Mithapur and Sapreda reported a 100 per cent pass rate in the General stream, while Khawda recorded the lowest at 52.56 per cent. District results ranged from 97.20 per cent in Banaskantha to 87.77 per cent in Vadodara.

General stream students in the English medium posted a 93.97 per cent pass rate, compared with 93.07 per cent in the Gujarati medium.
