GST Collections in April Soar to All-Time High of ₹2.36 Lakh Crore

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections in India clocked at an all-time-high of ₹2.36 lakh crore in the month of April.

The collections surged by 12.6% YoY against ₹2.10 lakh crore in corresponding period a year ago. During March 2025, collections came at ₹1.96 lakh crore.

Refund issuance went up by 48.3% to ₹27,341 crore in April. GST collections after deducting the refunds came at ₹2.09 lakh crore, up 9.1%.

Revenue earned from domestic transactions soared 10.7% to around ₹1.9 lakh crore. Meanwhile, GST from imported goods came at ₹46,913 crore, up 20.8%.
