Granules revamps hostel under CSR

Granules India Limited, a leading pharmaceutical company headquartered in Hyderabad, inaugurated the transformed BC Government Boys Hostel in Parawada, reaffirming its commitment to improving access to education for underprivileged children. The initiative benefits over 100 students from underprivileged families across various villages in Anakapalle and Visakhapatnam districts, providing them with a conducive environment to continue their education.
District Collector Vijaya Krishnan and Executive Director of Granules India Ltd Uma Chigurupati were present. Children aged between 9 and 15 years residing in the hostel now have access to clean, safe, and dignified living spaces that support their learning journey. As part of the project, education kits comprising school bags and books were distributed to the students to further enable a focused academic experience.
“Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream regardless of where they come from. At Granules, we see education as a cornerstone of inclusive progress. By transforming this hostel, we’re creating a safe, dignified space that nurtures both academic focus and self-belief. This initiative is a small but meaningful step in our larger commitment to building healthier, more empowered communities,” said Chirgupati.
