Hyderabad: Godrej Agrovet Company Ltd, a part of diversified Godrej Group, on Tuesday said it was ready to set up an integrated oil palm processing unit in association with Malaysia- based Sime Darby Company in Khammam district of Telangana, according to an official release. A delegation led by company’s Managing Director Balram Singh Yadav, which called on Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, informed him that the company is already running numerous business activities in Telangana which include cooking oils, dairy, agro, veterinary services, agro chemicals, animal fodder and veterinary services.

The Chief Minister invited the company to invest in Telangana’s real estate sector, which offers huge growth potential. The company has also been asked to invest in furniture and consumer goods segments in Telangana.

“CM Revanth made the promise of extending all kinds of support to expand further the oil palm and dairy business which have already been taken up by the company in Telangana. The CM advised the company to promote skill development as part of corporate social responsibility,” the official statement said.

Telangana IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu, Chief Secretary Shanthi Kumari and other officials were present in the meeting.
