Delhi Blast: Times Now Accesses Unseen Video of Mastermind Dr Umar Discussing ‘Suicide Bombing’
Times Now has accessed an unseen pre-blast video of Delhi blast mastermind Dr Umar, revealing his remarks on “suicide bombing” as the NIA intensifies its probe into the terror network behind the Red Fort explosion that killed 15 people.
Unseen video of Delhi blast mastermind Dr Umar emerges as NIA arrests key aides in the Red Fort explosion probe.

An exclusive video accessed by Times Now has revealed Delhi blast mastermind Dr Umar Nabi speaking about what he called the “misunderstood concept of suicide bombing.” Officials believe the footage was recorded shortly before the deadly explosion near the Red Fort that claimed 15 lives on November 10.
Dr Umar, a 28-year-old doctor from Pulwama, has emerged as the key radicalised operative in a terror network spanning Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, according to early findings in the probe. A slow-moving Hyundai i20, driven by Umar and later confirmed through DNA analysis, exploded near the Red Fort last week.
The blast occurred hours after agencies busted a ‘white-collar terror module’ in Faridabad, leading to the seizure of 2,900 kg of explosives and the arrest of three doctors.
What the Video Reveals
In the accessed clip, Umar speaks at length about “martyrdom operations," claiming they are commonly misinterpreted.
“One of the very misunderstood concepts is what has been labelled as suicide bombing. It is a martyrdom operation… known in Islam,” he says in the video.
NIA Arrests Close Aide
The NIA arrested, from Anantnag, a close associate identified as Jasir Bilal Wani, who is accused of providing technology support, such as modifying drones and manufacturing rockets intending to cause destruction through terrorist actions.
The NIA contended before the court in Delhi that one of the accused, Amir Rashid Ali, found the safe house and made arrangements for Umar. This accused has already been taken into custody, while the i20 that was used in the explosion was in his name and loaded with explosives.
Fatality Count Rises to 15
The death toll increased with two more victims: 50-year-old Lukmaan and 50-year-old Vinay Pathak, died at the LNJP Hospital. Several survivors continue to receive treatment for serious injuries from the blast.
