Delhi Airport Issues Travel Advisory Amid Ongoing India-Pakistan Tensions

India news today: The Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport returned to normal operation in the morning hours on Saturday. however, the airport issued a warning to passengers amid increased security preparations due to the ongoing military tensions India Pakistan.In its most recent travel advice, the airport declared, "Delhi Airport operations are regular at the moment..
However, because of changing airspace conditions and enhanced security measures in accordance with instructions issued by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security certain flight schedules could be affected, and security checkpoint processing time could be extended."
32 airports are shut
In the past in the day, earlier, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and the aviation authorities have issued airmen with notices (NOTAMs) which announced the temporary closings of 32 airports in Northern as well as Western India for civil flight operations. The NOTAM is in effect until the 9th of May, 2025 until May 14 2025 (extending until the time of 0529 IST in May 15 2025) in response to operational demands.
In the midst of escalating tensions between Pakistan drones were seen at 26 sites in the region of Baramulla located in north, to Bhuj within the southern region across as well the International Border and the Line of Control (LoC), the defence sources of ANI said on Friday.The drones are believed to be armed and could pose drone threats to both civilian and military targets.
The places where drones were seen included Baramulla, Srinagar, Avantipora, Nagrota, Jammu, Ferozpur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Lalgarh Jatta, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bhuj, Kuarbet as well as Lakhi Nala.
