Hyderabad: With several ongoing infrastructure development projects across India, Deesawala Rubber Industries anticipates nearly three-times growth in its revenue over the next couple of years. The Hyderabad-based manufacturer of premium quality rubber products aims to achieve a turnover of Rs 300 crore by FY 2025-26, while its earnings stood at Rs 100 crore in FY 2023-24.

“Every manufacturing industry needs rubber products. So, we are investing around Rs 80 crore to set up two manufacturing units in Hyderabad to cater the high demand for our rubber products,” Murtaza Deesawala, General Manager – Sales, Deesawala Rubber Industries, told Bizz Buzz. He is the son of Huned Deesawala, Founder and Managing Director of the company.

“Currently, the company has three manufacturing units in the city, all of them at Balanagar. We are launching the fourth unit of size 40,000 sq ft shortly at Kallakal, near Medchal, with an approximate investment of Rs 40 crore. We have acquired another 37,000-sq-ft manufacturing facility in the same area and are setting up our equipment with a similar budget,” he said.

“With the two new facilities, the company’s manufacturing capacity would soon increase to 25 tonnes per day from 7-10 tonnes per day at present. We are delivering our rubber products to seven major pipe manufacturers now. We will be able to serve another 10 players once the new manufacturing units are operational,” Murtaza said.

“India has very few manufacturers of premium quality rubber products. Today, there are only 7-8 makers in our country whereas China has roughly about 50 manufacturers. We are planning to bring new products such as rubber sheets, PVC water stoppers, rubber profiles and adhesives for woodwork and construction industries,” he added.

The company manufactures various kinds of rubber products like push gaskets for pipes, elastomeric bearing pads for bridges and metro rail projects, PVC water stopper and swellable bar for waterproofing and infrastructure industry (bridges, roads, buildings), expansion joint filler boards, rubber speed breakers and pillar guards for construction and irrigation industry.

Deesawala Rubber Industries caters its products to the infra majors and pipe manufacturers (ductile iron, RCC, GRP pipes). Their products are certified and approved by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Research Designs & Standards Organisation (RDSO) under the Ministry of Railways, WRAS (Water Regulations Approval Scheme by UK), and other global agencies.

The company has standard EN 681 certification for exporting its rubber products to European countries and AS 681 certification for exporting to Australia. It is planning to double its export volumes to 40 per cent of its sales in the next two years, from 20 per cent this year. It is also supplying its products to Indian Railways and metro rail manufacturers. It aims to deliver technically innovative rubber solutions for global infrastructure, pipeline and waterproofing industry by building long-term relations with suppliers and customers.
