CtrlS set to launch third datacenter in Hyd in 3 mths

Hyderabad: CtrlS Datacenters Ltd, a datacenter operator said it is set to launch its third facility, Hyderabad DC3, at Financial District in Hyderabad, within the next two to three months. The ground plus five storeyed facility will come up on 1.34 lakh sft, with 13MW IT load capacity.

CtrlS Datacenters currently operates two facilities in Hyderabad, along with nationwide footprint of 250 MW of datacenter capacity in tier-1 markets such as Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, and Noida. The company also operates Edge datacenter facilities in tier-2 markets such as Patna, Kolkata and Lucknow.

Speaking on the occasion, Sridhar Pinnapureddy, Founder and CEO, CtrlS Datacenters, said:

“Following up on our $2 billion investment plans, we are happy to unveil our upcoming Hyderabad datacenter - DC3. This city is one of the largest datacenter markets in India and holds strategic significance because of the presence of large number of enterprises, cloud service providers, and a preferred location for hosting disaster recovery services as it lies in seismic zone-2.”

The features of the new datacenter includes AI-ready with advanced cooling technologies, earthquake resistant structure, flood-proof at mean sea level of 542 meters, nine-layer physical security, the only Google Cloud Partner Interconnect provider in Hyderabad, access to major Internet Exchange providers, interconnected to all major DCs within the city.
