Oil marketing companies have reduced the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 58.50, effective July 1, 2025, easing costs for businesses like hotels and restaurants. In Delhi, the new price for a 19 kg commercial cylinder is Rs 1,665, down from the earlier rate. However, the price of the 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder, widely used in households, remains unchanged.

Prices for commercial LPG cylinders in other major cities are: Rs 1,616 in Mumbai, Rs 1,769 in Kolkata, and Rs 1,823.50 in Chennai.

Separately, fuel stations in Delhi have started displaying warnings against refueling End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs)—defined as petrol vehicles older than 15 years and diesel vehicles older than 10 years. These stations have also installed CCTV cameras and speakers to monitor compliance with this new rule effective from July 1, 2025.

According to a recent ICICI Bank report, global crude oil prices may decline due to eased tensions between Israel and Iran, softening demand, and increasing supply. The report forecasts stable global crude demand of around 102.9 million barrels per day in 2025, similar to 2024 levels, amid sluggish global growth.

On the supply side, OPEC has increased output, while non-OPEC production remains steady. The physical market showed a supply surplus for the fifth consecutive month in May 2025, with supply at 104.2 million barrels per day surpassing demand of 102.6 million barrels per day. Despite geopolitical tensions, crude price spikes have been milder compared to past events like the Russia-Ukraine war, due to the current oversupplied market.
