The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) held its 15th National HR Excellence Award Conclave in Mumbai on March 27, 2025, bringing together top HR leaders and award winners to explore emerging trends, best practices, and innovative strategies shaping the future of human resources.

CII Andhra Pradesh chairman and Fluentgrid Ltd MD & CEO Muralikrishna Gannamani on Friday said that values and culture are the invisible forces that drive behaviour, spark innovation, and ensure resilience, making them indispensable for building enduring institutions.

He was speaking at the 3rd CII AP HR Conclave here with the theme “Building Value & Institution through Values & Culture.”

Stating that the modern workforce is diverse, dynamic, and increasingly hybrid and presents unique challenges and opportunities, he remarked, according to the World Economic Forum’s 2024 Future of Jobs Report, 68% of global employers identify cultural alignment as a critical driver of talent retention and organisational agility.

The key highlight of the conclave was the unveiling of the report on "Building Value & Institution through Values & Culture.

Founder and Chief Strategist, The Strategist, K. Srinivas Rao set the context of the conclave and spoke on how to manage value and fine-tune global code to the local code of business, changing tenured employees to value champions.

Regional Provident Fund Commissioner Amardeep Mishra spoke on "The New Age VC – Values & Culture" and emphasised the significance of values, culture, and ethics within organisations, especially in the context of small enterprises with fewer than 10 employees whose primary motive is profit.

He highlighted the contradiction between India's proud social security statistics and ground-level organisational realities and cited the 113th ILO Conference, where India was appreciated for having 60% of its population under some form of social protection—a major global benchmark. He gave a brief on the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme, which is going to be launched from 1st August 2025.

CII AP former chairman RVS Rudraraju spoke on how to measure values and how to fine-tune global code to local business contexts. He emphasized HR's importance and highlighted that HR self-awareness is the most important aspect, being an integral part of business operations.

Kapil, Senior Director & Head HR, Providence India, Sravanti C, COO, Adaps, Neha Mishra and Regional HR Head, India & Bangladesh, KIABI, spoke.
