Care Hospitals holds walkathon to raise awareness for brain tumours

Hyderabad: CARE Hospitals, Hi-Tec City, a multi-specialty hospital, observed World Brain Tumour Day by organising an awareness walkathon with brain tumour survivors.

Chief Guest Dr Roopa Koduvayur, Doctor and Actress, flagged off the walkathon in the presence of Guest of Honours Dr Srinivas Reddy, Founder and Managing Director, Optimus Group Pvt Ltd, and Dr Rajat Kumar, IAS. Other doctors and hospital staff of Care Hospitals also participated in the initiative to spread awareness about brain care.

Dr Rajat Kumar, IAS, emphasising on the importance of creating awareness in combating brain tumour, said: “Awareness is the first step in fighting brain tumour. Early diagnosis and the right treatment can significantly improve patient outcome. Many individuals, once diagnosed early and treated appropriately, can recover and lead fulfilling lives.”

Kumar further said, “Today, we pay tribute to our survivors, whose strength and determination serve as a beacon of hope and resilience. Their journeys highlight the importance of early intervention and proper medical care, inspiring us all to continue raising awareness and supporting those affected by this challenging condition.”

As part of the World Brain Tumour Day initiative, CARE Hospitals, Hi-Tec City,said it is offering a 50 per cent discount on Brain Imaging (CT scan), and Neurosurgeon Consultation, for a month.
