Significant advancements in high-speed rail, space exploration, and economic investment marked the end of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's two-day visit to Japan on Saturday, further solidifying the strategic alliance between Japan and India.

"This visit to Japan will be remembered for the productive outcomes which will benefit our nations," Modi said, sharing his thoughts on X. I express my gratitude to the Japanese government, people, and Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba for their hospitality.

Important Results of the Visit

🚀 Chandrayaan-5 with Japan:

the future Chandrayaan-5 lunar mission will be developed in collaboration between Japan's JAXA and India's ISRO, strengthening collaboration in cutting-edge space technology and research.

🚄 Take the Bullet Train:

In Sendai, Modi and PM Ishiba boarded a Shinkansen bullet train. Additionally, he engaged with Indian drivers undergoing training in Japan for the forthcoming bullet train project between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, which is being constructed with Japanese support.

💰 $68 Billion Investment:

Over the next ten years, Japan has committed 10 trillion yen (roughly $68 billion) in private investments in areas such as semiconductors, digital technology, rare earths, and clean energy.

Strategic Significance

Both leaders emphasised the importance of the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership for both regional stability and world peace during the visit. Modi referred to the results as the cornerstone of a "new and golden chapter" in bilateral relations.
