BPSC 71st Prelims Result 2025 Declared: Over 14,200 Candidates Qualify, Cutoff Marks Released

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the results of the BPSC 71st Combined Competitive Prelims Examination 2025 on their official website, bpsc.bihar.gov.in. As per the announcement, 14,216 candidates have got through the prelims and are now entitled to sit for the BPSC Mains Examination 2025. The result has been released in a PDF format which can be downloaded, and it also allows candidates to verify their roll numbers straight from the commission's site.

The preliminary exams of this year were held in 37 districts of Bihar at 912 exam centres and saw a huge turnout of 3,16,762 candidates. Out of these, 13,368 were able to make it to the next stage in the Integrated Combined Preliminary Examination, whereas 893 were successful in the Preliminary Examination for the post of Financial Administrative Officer—indicating the tough competition among the candidates.

The Commission, through its official statement, expressed its congratulations to all the winners and invited them to start their preparation for the forthcoming mains. The candidates must visit the official site frequently to know about the Mains exam schedule, instructions, and all related notifications.

The BPSC also released the category-wise cutoffs:

• General: 88 (Male), 78 (Female)
• EWS: 82.33 (Male), 73.33 (Female)
• SC: 72 (Male), 60.33 (Female)
• ST: 71.33 (Male), 65.67 (Female)
• EBC: 81 (Male), 71.33 (Female)
• BC: 84 (Male), 73.67 (Female)
• BCL: 71.67
• PwD: 48–59 (depending on disability category)
• Grandchildren of Ex-Freedom Fighters: 66
