Hyderabad: BIO India has introduced its world’s first premium range of domestically produced bio liquor products, encompassing bio whisky, bio rum, and bio brandy in select States – Telangana, Odisha, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh. It plans to launch these products across India by the end of next year.

“Bio liquors are imbued with bio alkaloids and natural aromas devoid of synthetic flavours and colours, yet offer comparable intoxicating effects to traditional liquor brands. They are crafted using ingredients like aloe vera, artichoke, rhatany root, licorice, and other rare botanicals,” says Dr Srinivas Amarnath, Inventor of Bio Liquors, who has 30 years of expertise in Ayurveda and plant-based nanotechnology.

“I have pioneered the development of bio liquors, leveraging botanicals and their inherent properties. I have received the ‘Best Doctor and Botanist Award’ from Sri Venkateswara University. I have recounted this motivation to address alcoholism, spurred by familial experiences. I strongly feel the need for a solution to mitigate the global healthcare burden attributable to alcohol-related ailments,” he adds.

Driven by his personal experiences, Dr Amarnath felt compelled to seek solutions to address this pressing issue. This led to the invention of bio liquors for the first time in the world. The company has made substantial investments in research & development (R&D) and marketing, with expenditures totaling $10 million for R&D, blend formulation and sample testing globally over the past 18 years.

BIO India Managing Director Srinivasa Rayalu said, “Recognising Telangana as a pivotal market, the company eagerly anticipates introducing this innovative offering to the region. We’ve meticulously crafted thousands of blends to cater to consumer preferences, ensuring a delightful experience. Our brands are globally protected, particularly in India, the US, Australia, and other key markets.”

BIO India has gained immense consumer confidence with its unique quality and taste. It has achieved Silver in the Wine & Spirits Wholesaler of America spirits tasting competition 75th Annual Convention & Exposition.
