The counting of votes for the 243-seat Bihar Assembly began at 8 am on Friday, with early trends pointing to a tight contest between the ruling NDA and the Opposition Mahagathbandhan. As of 9:30 am, the NDA crossed the majority mark of 122 seats, even as the RJD held a narrow edge over the BJP in the number of seats they were leading on.
