The Bengaluru Traffic Police have issued a fresh advisory for commuters due to severe congestion and ongoing infrastructure work on the Outer Ring Road (ORR), particularly around key tech hubs and Marathahalli.

Traffic Advisory and Alternate Routes

The police highlighted that East Bengaluru’s ORR and surrounding areas are currently experiencing heavy traffic jams, worsened by recent waterlogging and other incidents. Commuters are urged to consider alternative routes, especially during peak hours, to minimize delays.

HAL Airport Traffic Police Station officials noted the advisory was prompted by repeated complaints from commuters and local residents.

Recommended Routes for Key Areas

From Bellandur to Devarabeesanahalli: Commuters are advised to use the service roads to ease congestion on main routes.

For employees heading to Intel, Global Tech Park, EcoSpace, and Pritech Park: Use the right lane of ORR, then switch to the middle service road at Devarabeesanahalli Junction to avoid traffic snarls.

Towards Passport Office, Eco World, and Sakra Hospital: Travelers should take the left lane and use the Passport Office service road.

For those heading to Marathahalli: Use the middle lane of the ORR when coming from the Bellandur side.

Given the forecast for rainfall, commuters are advised to follow traffic police instructions carefully and plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience.

Weather Impact

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain in several parts of Bengaluru over the next few days. While the rain is expected to bring relief from the heat, it may also cause waterlogging and power outages, potentially worsening traffic conditions.
