Several parts of Bengaluru will face scheduled power outages this weekend as the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) undertakes urgent maintenance and upgrade work on its transmission network. The planned shutdown will affect more than 50 localities across the city on Saturday, August 23, and Sunday, August 24.
Power Cut on Saturday, August 23
On Saturday, power will be disrupted between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm in areas connected to the Hoodi Station. The affected neighbourhoods include:

ESI Road
VSNL Data Centre

Power Cut on Sunday, August 24
On Sunday, residents in parts of North Bengaluru will face a longer outage from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Localities to be affected are:

RNS Apartment
CMTI
Berlingappa Garden
Peenya Police Station Road
Telephone Exchange at 6th Cross
Reason for Outage
According to KPTCL officials, the scheduled shutdown is essential to carry out urgent repair and upgrade works. These efforts aim to improve Bengaluru’s power infrastructure and ensure a more stable supply in the coming months.
