Bengaluru is on track for a major infrastructure boost with the expansion of Metro Phase-3, featuring a 32.15 km corridor from JP Nagar 4th Phase to Kempapura in Hebbal. This new route aims to ease congestion and improve connectivity across key areas of the city.
Land Acquisition in Full Swing
The project involves land acquisition from 10 villages, with 777 private properties set to be affected. Land is being taken from areas between Nainappashettipalya and Nayandahalli, with an estimated acquisition cost of ₹1,900 crore. The total project cost is pegged at approximately ₹15,611 crore.

₹450 crore expected from advertisements and alternate revenue streams
252 metro coaches will be required
By 2028, daily ridership is projected to reach 7.28 lakh passengers
