Mission LiFE, a key component of India’s nationally determined contribution, aims to mobilise one billion individuals worldwide towards adopting a lifestyle in harmony with nature. With ambitious goals in mind, BEE is spearheading the initiative, with a focus on nationwide expansion to mobilise citizens towards achieving the country’s climate objectives.

The phased implementation of Mission LiFE across major cities and regions, including Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Tirupati, Bengaluru, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram and Union Territories in the Southern region, aims to catalyse a shift towards sustainability. Central to the mission’s success is the adoption of a comprehensive strategy encompassing Lifestyle, Energy Conservation (EC), and Energy Efficiency (EE) messages. BEE is actively promoting energy efficiency through various programmes targeting schools, households, and residential welfare associations. From energy clubs in schools to community workshops and online platforms disseminating knowledge on energy-efficient practices, the mission seeks to empower individuals to become stewards of the environment.
