Women’s World Cup Champion Shree Charani Honoured by Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu with ₹2.5 Crore Reward and Government Job

During a grand function celebrating excellence in sports, Shree Charani was felicitated by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Naidu for being an integral part of the Indian women's contingent that won the Women's World Cup recently.
The Chief Minister, recognizing her contribution to the country in claiming the title, announced an award of ₹2.5 crore cash with a residential plot measuring 1,000 square yards, besides also offering a Group-I Government job.
While addressing the gathering, Naidu appreciated Charani for her exemplary performance and said, "She has brought so much pride to both the country as well as Andhra Pradesh. Her dedication and success will be the motivation for numerous girls to take up sports and aspire for greatness."
Shree Charani thanked the Government of Andhra Pradesh for the honor bestowed upon her and assured continued efforts towards Indian cricket.
The felicitation goes one step beyond another effort by the Andhra Pradesh government to promote sports and reward winning athletes who bring glory to the state at international platforms.
