VSEZ posts exports turnover of Rs.58,565 crore

Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone (VSEZ) has recorded exports to the tune of Rs.58,565 crore during the first quarter of the current financial year registering a growth of 9.82% over the corresponding period the previous year.
Of this service exports stand at Rs. 42,766 crore and merchandise exports at Rs.15,799 crore. .According to Srinivas Muppaala, Zonal Development Commissioner. VSEZ, Duvvada SEZ, during the period April-June’2025 achieved an exports of Rs.1,834 crore registering a growth of 156 %. Of this, merchandise exports amounted to Rs.1,832 crore and service exports Rs.1.93 crore.
During the period April-June 2025, nine new SEZ Unit proposals (Andhra Pradesh - 2 , Telangana – 7)were approved. VSEZ has attracted investment of Rs.1,26,635.46 crore and generated employment of 6,03,474 people as on 31.03.2025.
He informed that during the period April-June’2025, seven new SEZ Unit proposals were granted approval in Telangana and two new SEZ unit proposals in Andhra Pradesh. The newly approved SEZ units will bring an investment of Rs. 1303.05 crore and provide employment to 5,469 people.
