VRV Asia of Sri City exports mega liquid nitrogen tank to Egypt

Hyderabad: The Sri City based VRV Asia Pacific, a subsidiary of Chart Industries, has achieved a landmark international milestone by exporting a massive liquid nitrogen storage tank to Air Liquide in Egypt. This 531-kiloliter vessel, weighing 168 tonnes and stretching 39 meters, represents the pinnacle of cryogenic engineering and required complex multi-axle logistics to reach Chennai Port.
Hailing the export as a definitive triumph for the 'Make in India' initiative, Sri City MD Dr Ravindra Sannareddy described the feat as a crowning success that cements VRV’s reputation for world-class cryogenic engineering. As Sri City’s founding tenant, VRV has successfully transitioned from a local manufacturer to a vital global supplier for high-stakes sectors like aerospace and healthcare. With a storied history of supporting Isro and providing life-saving oxygen infrastructure during the pandemic, this latest export further solidifies VRV’s position as a global frontrunner in cryogenic technology.
