Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) Secretary T. Venu Gopal, Secretary has been promoted and appointed as Deputy Chairman, Paradip Port Authority (PPA).
Venu Gopal began his career at Visakhapatnam Port in 1995 as Assistant Personnel Officer and subsequently served in various capacities across departments. In 2019, he was promoted and posted as Secretary, Deendayal (Kandla) Port Authority.
Later, in 2020, he was transferred back to VPA as Secretary, where he has served with distinction till date.
During his tenure, he successfully organised several major events such as BIMSTEC, Indian Maritime Conclaves, the inauguration of the International Cruise Terminal, and the arrival of international cruise vessels. Swachha Bharat, IGoT, skill development programmes, healthcare and education are some of the flagship programmes of the Government of India, which were organised in VPA successfully during his tenure.
