The Vishakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) has inaugurated multiple development projects, including new berths and infrastructure enhancements aimed at boosting operational capacity, efficiency, and regional trade connectivity.

Visakhapatnam Port Authority has launched several works coinciding with the two-day BIMSTEC Ports' Conclave. Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal laid the foundation stone for construction of B-Ramp in port area at a cost of Rs.33.49 crore, finger jetty and wharf in fishing harbour (Rs.32.61 crore), two additional breasting dolphins at Offshore Tanker Terminal OSTT (Rs.20.87 crore), development of public promenade near Cruise Terminal (Rs.15.90 crore), additional ramp from Ambedkar Centenary Flyover to L-17 Corridor (Rs.8.31 crore) and toilet blocks at 15 Locations in port area (Rs.5.50 crore).
The Minister also inaugurated new oil refinery berth-2 (Rs.42.00 crire), fire fighting facilities at OSTT berth (Rs.27 crore), covered storage shed (Rs.22.50 crore), road improvement from WQ-5 Junction to Essar Junction (Rs.19.69 crore) expansion of Customs Boundary Wall (Rs.7.17 crore), RFID Gate Management System with New Gates (Rs.15 crore), new port operating system (Rs.10.77 crore) and vessel traffic management system (Rs.15.83 crore),
