Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met Lim Yong Wei, Executive Director of Keppel Corporation, a globally recognized Singapore-based company in the fields of urban development, commercial infrastructure, and basic amenities.
As part of the third day of his Singapore tour, the Chief Minister held discussions with representatives from several major industrial companies. The meeting with Keppel primarily focused on its potential partnership in the development of Amaravati. CM invited Keppel to collaborate on projects in IT, commerce, and housing sectors to transform Visakhapatnam into a growth engine for the State's development. During the talks, Naidu told them that Visakhaaptnam has emerged as the growth engine for accelerated development in Andhra Pradesh after the NDA coalition formed the government last year.
The Chief Minister also met GIC (Government of Singapore Investment Corporation) Chief Investment Officer Bryan Yeo to discuss opportunities for investment in Amaravati’s development, the real estate and industrial sectors, and infrastructure across the state. Discussions revolved around formulating strategies for long-term partnership and stable investments with GIC. CM assured that the state government is ready to provide a conducive environment for GIC to invest in sectors like healthcare, education, urban planning, and civic infrastructure. He emphasized that Andhra Pradesh offers immense opportunities in these areas.
Naidu also met Rahul Kale, Group Head, Wilmar Oleochemicals & Biofuels. The meeting covered potential investment opportunities in food processing, edible oils, and agri-infrastructure sectors. The Chief Minister proposed collaboration in food processing to help create a value-based market for farmers. Wilmar expressed interest in providing the necessary technology for this initiative.
