The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has revealed important arrangements for the forthcoming Vaikuntha Ekadashi, which is taking place at the end of December. Since the festival coincides with New Year celebrations, a huge crowd is expected to come for the event.
TTD announced that online registration for Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan will open on Thursday, November 27. This time, besides the options of the TTD website and mobile application, devotees can also register through the official WhatsApp bot. A special quota has been allocated for the local population.
Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan will be held in Tirumala from December 30 until January 8. In the first three days, that is, on December 30, 31, and January 1, the darshan tokens will be provided for online booking only through electronic dip (e-dip). The tokens will have a format of 1+3, permitting devotees to take along three family members.
During the remaining seven days, devotees will be able to have Sarva Darshan through Vaikuntha Q Complex-2, which will be very helpful for crowd management. Special Entry Darshan (SED) and Srivari Darshan were also suspended for the first three days, but now locals have the option of booking through a dedicated mobile app.
TTD has further communicated that during Kaga and Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan days, no SSD tokens will be given in Tirupati. VIP and other special darshans, including those for acquired services, have been suspended except for protocol dignitaries. Donors can currently book online darshan slots, with access for general devotees prioritized.
Registration for e-dip will be open from November 27 to December 1, daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and can be done through the following channels:
TTD website: https://ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in/
Mobile app: TTD Devasthanams App
AP Government WhatsApp Bot: Just send "Govinda" or "Hi" to 9552300009, pick your language (EN/TE), then TTD Temple Services, and finally Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan (Dip) Registration.
Before submitting, the devotees should provide their name, age, gender, Aadhaar number, mobile number and address according to the official documents. E-dip details will be provided to the devotees at 2 PM on December 2nd.
TTD has allocated a total of 5,000 tokens per day to local devotees from January 6 to January 8, 2024.Tirupati, Chandragiri and Renigunta residents can book 4,500 of these tokens, and 500 can be allotted for local residents of Tirumala. Online booking will open on December 10, in the 1+3 format again.
The number of VIP darshans will be very limited and will only include the very few protocol dignitaries who actually turn up, thus the common devotees will get to enjoy the Vaikuntha Dwara period fairly.
