Telecom luminary inaugurates Smile Eco Industries at Sri City

Hyderabad: SriCity had the distinct honour of hosting Padmasri Dr T Hanuman Chowdary, a towering figure in India’s telecom revolution and a respected voice in national development discourse. Dr Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director of Sri City, received Dr Chowdary and presented a comprehensive overview of Sri City’s journey—from its inception to its emergence as a globally benchmarked industrial hub.
Dr Chowdary as inaugurated Smile Eco Industries Pvt. Ltd., a new MSME unit in the Sri City SEZ. In the presence of Dr Ravindra Sannareddy and Mr. Mallikarjuna Paruchuri, Managing Director of the company, he formally commenced production by switching on the machines.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Chowdary observed that enterprises like Smile Eco Industries exemplify how industry can integrate social impact with economic growth, and noted that Sri City provides the ideal ecosystem for such initiatives to flourish.
Welcoming the new venture, Dr Ravindra Sannareddy said Sri City takes pride in hosting Smile Eco Industries, promoted by Mallikarjuna — a son of the soil and former Sri City employee who turned entrepreneur and is now generating jobs. He described him as a role model for young people and remarked that it was especially auspicious to have the blessings of Dr. Chowdary, who at 94 continues to inspire.
Reflecting on his visit, Dr Sannareddy remarked, “It is an honour to host Dr Chowdary at Sri City. His pioneering role in India’s telecom revolution continues to inspire us, and his vision for an intellectually and ethically strong Bharat resonates deeply with our mission to create sustainable industrial growth.”
