Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Government has constituted a high-power committee headed by Chief Secretary K Vijayanand to address the changes suggested by various departments to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to redeem the Swarnandhra Vision-2047.

With the launch of the Swarna Andhra@2047, the government has embarked on an ambitious mission to achieve a 15% annual growth rate, aiming to transform the State into a $2.4 trillion economy with a per capita income of $42,000 by 2047. This was reiterated at the Fifth Collector’s Conference addressed by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at Amaravati last week.

Naidu had emphasized the need to ensure that all KPIs directly contribute to economic growth aligning them with the targeted GSDP growth of the State. The concerned departmental KPIs which have a direct bearing on economic growth need to be thoroughly reviewed and verified, an official order stated..

The Chief Minister along with Ministers, Secretaries and Heads of Departments on December 10, 2025, had instructed that the KPI targets proposed by all departments shall be examined and revised wherever necessary, particularly those influencing Economic Growth, GSDP enhancement and priority sector outcomes.

He wanted a structured mechanism be put in place to scrutinize the revised targets proposed by departments, to ensure that the targets are realistic, evidence-based and aligned with the State’s development priorities and GSDP growth requirements. The government constituted a four-member committee to examine the suggestions and effect revision in KPI targets or modification proposals, if any received from the departments:

Other members of the committee include Principal Secretary (Planning & Finance) and Secretary of the concerned department as member and Joint Secretary, Planning Department as member-convener.

The committee is mandated to examine the proposals received from departments for revision of KPI targets, evaluate the justification and benchmarks and approve the targets for further monitoring and implementation of KPIs.

All the Special Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries have been advised to furnish the revised target proposals if any to the Joint Secretary, Planning department for further approval by the committee along with the justification report.
