Sri City showcases industrial ecosystem at auto expo in Tokyo

Hyderabad: Sri City, Integrated Business City, showcased its thriving industrial ecosystem at the Automotive World Expo 2026 in Tokyo, held January 21–23. As Asia’s largest automotive technology exhibition, the event featured nearly 1,850 exhibitors and is expected to attract over 92,000 visitors, spotlighting innovations shaping global mobility.
Home to leading manufacturers such as Isuzu, Alstom, and several Tier-1 suppliers, Sri City reaffirmed its role as a global hub for diverse industries. With advanced infrastructure and a strong Japanese presence, it has emerged as India’s second-largest Japanese industrial township, hosting more than 35 companies from Japan.
Commenting on Sri City’s participation in the expo Dr Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director of Sri City, remarked, “The Expo provided an excellent platform to showcase Sri City’s strengths and deepen global partnerships, particularly with Japan. This reinforces our reputation as a leading industrial hub.”
Sri City’s pavilion drew significant attention from international delegates, notably Miyama Electric CEO Yoshida, former Toray Chairman & the General Secretary of the Japan India Association, Suenaga, and Piolax’s Managing Director, among others. The expo also saw participation from leading global corporations such as Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Suzuki, BYD, Dongfeng, Tesla, Xiaomi, AION, Bosch, BorgWarner, DENSO, Panasonic Automotive Systems, along with several other major industry players.
R Shivshankar, Senior Vice President (Marketing), and G Hari, AGM (Marketing), engaged visitors, highlighting Sri City’s connectivity, infrastructure, and strategic advantages for manufacturing.
The Yokohama India Centre hosted a seminar on Sri City’s unique strengths, presided over by R Madhu Sudan, Deputy Chief of Mission, Indian Embassy in Tokyo.
He emphasised India’s growth story and opportunities for stronger Indo-Japanese collaboration.
Shivshankar presented Sri City’s world-class infrastructure, excellent connectivity, and growing prominence in automotive and other manufacturing sectors, reinforcing its appeal as a preferred destination for global enterprises.
