Sri City police launch ‘No Helmet – No Entry’ rule

Hyderabad: Acting on the directive of L Subba Rayudu, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Tirupati, Sri City Police, with support from the Sri City Security Force, initiated enforcement of the ‘No Helmet – No Petrol’ rule. Effective from Monday, the regulation was strictly implemented across Sri City to enhance the safety of two-wheeler riders. In addition, the police enforced the ‘No Helmet – No Entry into Sri City’ measure to ensure that only riders adhering to safety norms are permitted access, thereby reinforcing the city’s commitment to a culture of responsible and secure commuting.As the rule takes effect, police teams organised an awareness drive at key junctions along the Central Expressway and other major intersections. Riders complying with helmet safety were briefly stopped and appreciated for their responsible conduct, while those found without helmets faced penalties in accordance with the law.
