Sri City celebrates Republic Day with patriotic fervour

Hyderabad: Marking the 77th Republic Day, Sri City resonated with pride and patriotic fervour as the community gathered for a grand celebration. The ceremony, held at the Business Centre lawns, began with the unfurling of the national flag by the chief guest, A V Nagaraju, Judicial First Class Magistrate of Sathyavedu, followed by an impressive parade presented by the Sri City security force.

Addressing the gathering, Nagaraju paid homage to the sacrifices of freedom fighters and urged citizens to uphold the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution. He commended Sri City’s remarkable journey in driving regional development and generating employment, lauding the management’s efforts in transforming a once backward region into a prosperous hub of opportunities and growth.

In a message to the community, Dr Ravindra Sannareddy, MD of Sri City, extended greetings and highlighted the hub’s role in driving India’s vision. He underscored Sri City’s support for Atmanirbhar Bharat, Make in India, and Nari Shakti, all aligned with the Government’s Viksit Bharat@2047 agenda.

Y Ramesh, Assistant General Manager, Security & Vigilance, welcomed the gathering and introduced the guest of honour. C Ramesh Kumar, Vice President (Customer Relations), provided insights into the unique features and achievements of the thriving industrial hub.

Acknowledging their remarkable commitment, the chief guest rewarded outstanding security guards with cash prizes. Enhancing the celebratory atmosphere, female groups from the Sri City villages captivated the audience with traditional rural folk dances and 'Kolaatam’. Besides the Sri City employees, officials from industrial units, members of the public from the neighbouring villages, and school students actively participated in the event.

For the first time, a tableau of Sri City was proudly presented in the Tirupati district parade by APIIC and DIC, showcasing the hub’s unique strengths—multi-sector manufacturing, global investments, job creation, and women’s empowerment.
