Site identified for Lulu Mall in Vijayawada, another coming up in Vizag
Lulu Group International has earmarked prime land to construct a LuLu Mall in Vijayawada and is reviving plans for a second mall in Visakhapatnam, each part of Andhra Pradesh's ₹1,222–₹1,500 crore retail expansion initiative amid regulatory and public scrutiny.

The site for location of LuLu Mall, the first among two proposed in Andhra Pradesh has been identified after the project was accorded clearance by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB)
The authorities are understood to have decided to grant the site in the Governorpet-2 Bus Depot, Vijayawada., which of late has become the talk of the town. The site is sprawling over five acres and is located near the Police Control Room Junction in the heart of the city. Sources told Bizz Buzz that a new bus depot will come at Gollapudi. The Cabinet has already cleared the proposal for the LuLu Malls in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada at a cost of Rs.1222 crore with a commitment to create jobs for 1500.
Sources said the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC), which has been tasked with identification of suitable lands for the LuLu Malls, has written a letter to AP State Road Transport Corporation identifying a land parcel in Vijayawada. A part of the land parcel, where a park has been developed with scrap iron sculptures may also be given to the mall management. At present, the park is being managed by the municipal corporation. The district administration and the A{IIC have started an exercise to identify a suitable land for LuLu Mall in Visakhapatnam.
Abu Dhabi-based LuLu Mall has also been allotted APIIC site measuring 14 acres at Harbour Park in Visakhapatnam for revival of LuLu International Mall, multiplex and a five star deluxe hotel with seaview at a cost of Rs.1500 crore.
