The State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) on Thursday approved proposals made for investment by 26 companies envisaging an investment of Rs.20,444 crore and reviewed the implementation of MoUs signed at the recently held 30th edition of CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam.
Held at the Secretariat at Velagapudi under the chairmanship of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, a decision was taken to ground the MoUs with an investment of Rs.13.25 lakh crore signed at the summit before the next meeting of World Economic Forum in Davos. He set a deadline of 45 days to kickstart the projects announced at the summit.
A high-level delegation led by Naidu will attend the forum meeting in Switzerland on January 19-23, 2026 with the theme 'A Spirit of Dialogue.'
Briefing the media, Ministers T.G. Bharath and Kandula Durgesh said there is a flood of investments to Andhra Pradesh due to 'Brand CBN.' They said the 13th SIPB meeting approved the investment of Rs 20,444 crore by 26 companies: This will lead to create 56,278 jobs.
Durgesh said they are focusing on speed of doing business: Naidu in his address to the SIPB members directed to take steps to ground MoUs that were inked at the CII Partnership Summit within next 45 days.
The Chief Minister directed to set up a portal and continuously monitor the progress of the proposed investments. He said time frames will be fixed for implementation of the projects.
He also reiterated the commitment to generate two million jobs and formation of three regional zones to accelerate development across Andhra Pradesh. *In Visakhapatnam zone Rs.1.69 lakh crore, in Amaravati zone Rs 87,000 crore, in Tirupati zone Rs.73,000 crore of investment has been received," Durgesh stated.
