Samsung has introduced the Galaxy M36 5G in India, expanding its Galaxy M series lineup. Tailored for the country’s growing base of digital-first consumers, the device includes integrated AI tools, robust hardware enhancements, and a multi-year software upgrade plan.
Samsung’s new device introduces AI-powered functionalities to mid-range users through Circle to Search with Google and Gemini Live. Users can perform on-screen searches through gestures and engage in real-time AI conversations. These additions mark Samsung’s strategy to broaden the reach of mobile AI.
The Galaxy M36 5G measures 7.7mm in thickness and features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ for added protection. A 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and includes Vision Booster technology, built for visibility even in direct sunlight. The phone will be sold in three color variants: Velvet Black, Serene Green, and Orange Haze.
Equipped with a 50MP triple-lens system featuring Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), the device aims to reduce motion blur in videos and photos. An Auto Night Mode improves low-light shots. Users can also record 4K video from both front and rear cameras. Additional tools include Photo Remaster and Object Eraser. A 13MP front-facing camera rounds out the photography capabilities.
Built on a 5nm Exynos 1380 chipset, the Galaxy M36 5G is engineered for efficient multitasking and thermal performance. A vapor cooling chamber supports consistent speed during heavy usage. The 5000mAh battery supports extended daily use and is compatible with 25W fast charging.
The device ships with One UI 7 and promises six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security patches. Features like Now Bar and redesigned widgets streamline usability. For security, Samsung Knox Vault provides hardware-level protection, and Samsung Wallet supports contactless payments.
The Galaxy M36 5G will be released on July 12 through Amazon, Samsung’s official site, and select offline retailers. Pricing begins at Rs 16,499 for the 6GB+128GB variant with an Rs 1,000 bank discount. Other options include 8GB+128GB for Rs 17,999 and 8GB+256GB for Rs 20,999.
