RINL top brass says 2026 a promising year for Vizag-headquartered PSU

Visakhapatnam: Expressing confidence in the collective strength of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, its Chairman-cum-Managing Director (additional charge) Manish Raj Gupta stated on Monday that 2026 would be a promising year for the Navratna PSU and called upon all employees to remain committed, motivated and focused in achieving sustainable growth. He was speaking at the 77th Republic Day ceremony organised by RIN amid patriotic fervour at the Trishna Grounds, Ukkunagaram, the township of RINL. Earlier, he unfurled the National Flag, took the salute and inspected the Guard of Honour presented by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel on the occasion. Highlighting India’s growth story, Gupta stated that the country has emerged as a vibrant democracy with a rapidly growing economy, creating strong demand for steel. He noted that India is now the world’s second-largest crude steel producer, with massive infrastructure initiatives such as PM Gati Shakti, Bharatmala 2.0, Sagarmala 2.0, National Infrastructure Pipeline 2.0, Industrial Corridors and Smart Cities Mission providing further impetus to steel consumption.
