Residents Protest Encroachment and Lack of Basic Infra in Bhagavatula Layout, Rushikonda

Several residents of Bhagavatula Layout in Ommivanipalem falling under the posh Rushikonda Village have raised serious concerns over repeated encroachment of a public road and the lack of essential civic infrastructure such as street lighting and road access.
The issue revolves around an individual, who has illegally fenced off a portion of the public road opposite Sai Priya Resorts, Rushikonda, claiming it as private property. This road is clearly marked in the 1971-approved layout plan of Bhagavatula Layout, and is essential for free movement and plot access, according to complaints made by the residents..
Despite prior action taken by GVMC to remove the unauthorised fencing and demarcate the road, the encroacher has repeated the violation, causing great distress and inconvenience to local residents.
"We demand immediate and permanent action by GVMC to remove these illegal structures and restore public access," said a resident representative. "We also request recognition of our layout in municipal records, proper road facilities, and installation of street lighting for public safety." The residents have submitted a formal complaint to GVMC seeking immediate action.
