Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh is positioning itself as a strong leader in the technology field by seizing the opportunity to make Amaravati the quantum technology hub of the world with an action plan set in motion to install super computers from January, 2026.

Exuding confidence that they are gearing up to adopt new age technologies like AI, IoT, Blockchain and predictive analysis to improve delivery system, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said on Monday that this will also lead to hassle-free last mile connectivity.

He was speaking here after inaugurating the 28th national conference on e-governance. The two-day conference is being organised jointly by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances and Ministry of IT, Electronics and Communications, Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu appealed to young technocrats to become partners of developing Swadeshi technology to make India No. 1 in technology globally.

He said "though we are strong in technology, we are depending on other countries and stressed the need for production in India itself. He said AP is developing the Quantum Valley in Amaravati on the lines of Silicon Valley and expressed confidence that the government will create a mechanism to produce quantum computers in two years.

Stating that India is the largest user of AI, the Chief Minister stressed the need for developing in-house technology without depending on other countries. Citing the example of South Korea’s expertise in the semiconductor sector, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated investments into the semiconductor sector in India. Likewise AP is going to develop Quantum Valley in Amaravati, space city near Sriharikota, drone city in Orvakal, electronic city and medtech park across the State. He requested all the civil services officials, majority of them from IITs and IIMs, to become partners of quantum technology and emerging new technologies.

The Chief Minister said India will emerge as the 3rd largest economy by 2028 and No1 by 2047 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and no one can stop it. He said the Telugu Desam Party will lead this technology revolution and Andhra people will lead the revolution to contribute for national development which is his dream.

"Prime Minister Modi knows the power of technology and created competition among various states. Today every state is competing which is a very good helping trend," he remarked.
