Andhra Pradesh has decided to develop 100 out of the total 175 MSME parks by nodal agencies APIIC (in case of MSME park and flatted factory complexes (FFC) and MSME Corporation (in case of Common Facilitation Centers) with funding support from Government of India schemes and the State's budgetary allocation and APIIC’s own funds and the remaining 75 projects will be developed involving private park developers depending on the feasible locations.
The decision has been taken recently on finalisation of guidelines for providing 'plug and play' industrial infrastructure to industrial parks including MSME parks, by setting up nano parks in five to 10 acres, MSME parks in 20 to 100 acres and large and mega parks each in over 100 acres on PPP mode.
Secretary, Industries and Commerce N. Yuvaraj said in an order that in alignment with the vision of 'One Family One Entrepreneur, the government has decided to develop 175 MSME parks or FFCs in the State, as applicable @ one park in each assembly constituency, to be completed in next 36 months.
Each MSME park will be developed on an average area of about 50 acres, depending on the area
available in the assembly constituency. In order to achieve the target of allotting the plots to the eligible MSME units in next 9-12 months, it is planned that the infrastructure in these MSME parks will be developed initially in 20 acres of lands of the parks, so that the MSME units will be
able to ground their project, by the time, remaining areas of the parks are further developed. Similarly, each FFC will have about 50,000 sq.ft of constructed ‘plug and play’ infrastructure to enable the micro enterprises to start the operations immediately, a senior official of MSME Department told Bizz Buzz.
He said the total requirement for the external infrastructure is estimated at Rs.550–600 crore, over a period of next three FYs. The fund requirement will be met by panchayati raj, energy departments and rural water supply scheme with budgetary support from the State Government and support from the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI).
Tentative land acquisition cost for additional land is estimated to cost over Rs.500 crore and this has to be met by APIIC, out of the sale proceeds of the MSME plots and spaces in FFCs created under the scheme.
