NTPC Simhadri inks MoA under CSR

Visakhapatnam: A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the District Administration, Anakapalli was signed by NTPC Simhadri Super Thermal Power Station to extend financial support for the improvement of medical infrastructure facilities across the district under its CSR initiatives for FY 2025–26. As part of the agreement, NTPC will provide financial assistance of Rs121.50 lakh towards strengthening healthcare facilities at six Primary Health Centres (PHCs) — Vemulapudi, Gunupudi, Cheedigummala, Nathavaram, Golugonda, and KD Peta — and three Urban
Primary Health Centres (UPHCs) at Bondhu Veedhi, Pedaboddepalli, and Baligattam. The support will include procurement of essential medical and office equipment such as inverters, batteries, air conditioners, operation theatre LED lights, and furniture, along with minor civil improvements. Additionally, the initiative will cover the construction and repair of compound walls at the Critical Care Block (CCB) and DEIC buildings, as well as the laying of a CC approach road within the District Hospital, Anakapalli. On behalf of NTPC, officials from NTPC Simhadri exchanged the MoA documents with Srinivas, District Coordinator of Hospital Services, Anakapalli, representing the District Administration.
