Hyderabad: Nittan India Tech (NIT) Pvt. Ltd., the Indian arm of Japan’s Nittan Valve Co. Ltd., marked a major milestone with the inauguration of its expanded manufacturing facility in Sri City.

Welcoming dignitaries, Young Oh Ko, Managing Director of NIT, reflected on his journey since 2018: “My dream was to build a company that everyone aspires to join—but only the best can. With this new facility, we’ve doubled output from 1 to 2 million valves per month. It’s a milestone, not the finish line. We’ll keep growing—3 million, 4 million and beyond—ensuring NIT shines for decades.” He extended heartfelt thanks to Hyundai Motor India for their trust, the Nittan Group HQ for its support, and the entire NIT team for their dedication.

Sunder, Vice President of Hyundai Motor India and chief guest, lauded the expansion as a testament to NIT’s commitment to quality. He emphasised that Hyundai’s success—backed by high-volume procurement—is driven by reliable, sustainable components from partners like NIT. Mr. Lee Tai Hwan, President and Representative Director of Nittan Corporation, described the expansion as a symbol of Nittan’s growing presence in India, crediting the achievement to the team’s hard work and rising market demand.

Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director of Sri City, in a message congratulated the NIT team, highlighting their journey since 2014 and applauding their precision, collaboration, and resilience. He noted the expansion further anchors NIT in Sri City, where global ambition meets local excellence. The ceremony was attended by senior Nittan Group leaders including Teruaki Ando, Yumiko Shindo, Cho Seung Hyun, and Roh Yoon Ho.

The expansion adds abuilt-up area of 7,350 square meters—equivalent to the existing 3.5-acre footprint—bringing the total developed area to approximately 7 acres.

With an additional investment of Rs41 crore, the company’s cumulative investment in India now stands at Rs257 crore. The expansion also boosts employment, increasing the workforce from 270 to 370 personnel, further contributing to regional development. The upgraded facility doubles Nittan India’s annual production capacity from 12 million to 24 million engine valves, reinforcing its commitment to serving leading automotive manufacturers such as Hyundai Motor India, Honda Cars India, Toyota Motor Corporation, Ashok Leyland, Royal Enfield, Yamaha, and Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI).
