As part of the vision to nurture one entrepreneur in every family, Nara Bhuvaneswari, wife of the Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, inaugurated the Chai Rasta outlet established by MEPMA SHG women in Kuppam in Chittoor district.
At the corporate-style outlet, she purchased the first cup of tea and praised the taste, hygiene, and quality. She appreciated the innovative concept of Chai Rasta, developed with the collaboration of IIM and IIT graduates.
The Chai Rasta outlets are designed to provide MEPMA DWCRA women with stable monthly income and dignity. With the partnership of MEPMA, similar outlets will soon be established across towns and cities throughout the State.
Bhuvaneswari emphasised that the government is committed to supporting women in becoming entrepreneurs and urged them to make the best use of such opportunities.
She noted that the launch of the first outlet in Kuppam, with the support of the Kuppam Development Authority (KADA), is a positive step.
Speaking on the occasion, Chai Rasta CEO Michael Joshi stated that the initiative will ensure sustainable income and respect for MEPMA DWCRA women. Directors Poludasu Kiran and Ontipuli Poornachandra Rao highlighted that the outlets are easy to operate and equipped with modern technology.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by MLC Kancherla Srikanth, KADA Project Director Vikas Marmat, local public representatives, and officials.
