Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday decided to order a probe into a campaign spread by YSRCP to the prospective investors denting the image of Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu and others agreed when Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav brought to their notice at the Cabinet meeting about the email campaign being launched by YSRCP through its supporters to prospective investors not to invest in APMDC's Rs 7,000 crore bonds. He alleged that this proved their vested interest to dent the image of Andhra Pradesh and derail the pace of development ensured by the TDP-led coalition since past one year.

Responding to this, the Chief Minister said a comprehensive enquiry will be ordered into the alleged email campaign not to invest in APMDC.

The Cabinet decided to sanction a viability gap funding of Rs.1,000 crore for construction of airports at Srikakulam, Kuppam, Amaravati and Dagadarthi.

The meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naidu at Velagapudi Secretariat resolved to allow the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) to dredge sand from the Krishna River for use in the construction of residential colonies and other buildings in Amaravati. The decisions taken at the 50th meeting of CRDA were unanimously approved.

As per decision taken earlier, 34,964 acres will be acquired for Amaravati 2.0 from 13 villages in the capital region. Approval was given for allotment of land to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Zoological Survey of India, other Central and State agencies. A decision was taken for the formation of AP Jalajevvan Water Supply Corporation. The meeting approved the AP Space Policy 2025-30, which was made public sometime ago.

An additional area of 790 acres will be acquired through APIIC for the proposed Bulk Drug Park near Nakkapalli in Anakapalle district. The Centre has sanctioned Rs.1,000 crore for creating the required infrastructure in the park.

Civil Supplies Minister N. Manohar said Rs.672 crore due to the paddy farmers, which was procured during last Rabi season will be cleared through bank account transfer immediately. The paddy was procured by the AP Civil Supply Corporation for distribution under PDS. The outstanding amount is being cleared after July 4 clearance to the AP Markfed to secure a loan of Rs.1,000 crore from the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC).
