Naidu Moots Global Medicity In Amaravati

Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday said a mega health hub with a global medicity will be established in the capital city of Amaravati in an area of 200 acres.
He said on the occasion of World Health Day that the Central Government is expected to find the mega project as a health City in the capital region. A decision on this will be taken shortly.
On 100-bed hospitals in 175 assembly constituencies, he said depending on the size and requirements, in some segments they will have 200 to 300 beds.While admitting that cardiac problems are increasing in Konaseema, Kakinada and NTR districts, he respiratory ailments are on the rise in Prakasam, Kurnool and Anantapur districts. Diabetic cases are more in Guntur, NTR and Krishna districts. He said steps are being taken to study reasons for high incidence and how to tackle them.
Naidu, who gave a powerpoint presentation on the health vision of the State said they are setting up 100-bed hospitals in each assembly segment. The government is spending Rs 19,264 crore through the
Health Department.
