Naidu in Dubai pitches hard to bring investors to AP

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday launched a three-day UAE trip to promote Brand AP and convince investors from UAE to attend CII Partnership Summit being held in Visakhapatnam on November 14 and 15.
On arrival, Naidu received grand welcome at Dubai airport from a large number of Telugu community people including women and entrepreneurs, on the first day of his UAE tour to attract investments and to invite global industry giants for CII Partnership Summit.
Later the Chief Minister met A Amarnath, Charge d’affaires, Embassy of India and Satish Sivan, Consulate General, Dubai.
Speaking on the occasion, Consul General Satish Sivan said UAE had partnership with India in trade and technology and the ties are further strengthened with mutual investments from both the countries. He said the trade relations with India increased to fifty percent in the last three years. He said Indians also coming forward in a big way to invest in UAE paving way for increase in trade. He said India turned as a destination for knowledge economy and the UAE spending more on Technology and focusing on non oil economy.
He said the UAE set up a separate ministry for Artificial Intelligence in 2017.
Discussing with the Chief Minister, Amarnath, Charge d’affaires, Embassy of India said that UAE invested 23 billion dollars in India so far and received fifty per cent of returns in three years. He said UAE is keen on investing in India on Education, health, green energy and food parks.
Speaking on the occasion, Naidu said the ties between India and UAE further strengthened in the past ten years. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi toured several countries promoting India resulting in increasing relations between India and several countries.
