Visakhapatnam: In a significant development to realise the vision to transform Andhra Pradesh into a prominent knowledge hub, Medhavi Foundation, the sponsoring body of Medhavi Skills University (MSU), has come forward to establish Swarna Madhavi Global Skills University here to roll out industry-ready youth. The institute recently signed MoU to this effect with Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB).

The initiative is expected to contribute to the Swarnandhra @ 2047 vision of making Andhra Pradesh a trillion-dollar economy.

The MoU was formalised during the 30th CII Partnership Summit here with Pravesh Dudani, Founder & Director of Medhavi Foundation and Chancellor of MSU, signing the agreement with Bharat Gupta, Director, Commissionerate of Collegiate Education, Andhra Pradesh. The ceremony was graced by Kona Sasidhar, Principal Secretary, Higher Education, G Ganesh Kumar, MD & CEO, APSSDC; KV Satyanarayana, Chairman, Swarnandhra College of Engineering and Technology (SCET) and Saurabh Mishra, Vice President, Medhavi Skills University.

In his comments on the development, Kona Sasidhar stated, “We welcome the Medhavi Group, and through this partnership, we intend to strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s talent pipeline by equipping our youth with globally competitive, industry-ready skills that support sustainable industrial growth both within the state and internationally.”

The university will be developed across a green-field campus in Visakhapatnam. It will offer industry-driven undergraduate, postgraduate, and skill-based programmes across high-growth sectors such as electronics, computer science, renewable energy, maritime and logistics, manufacturing, and emerging advanced technologies.

The initiative is closely aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasises flexible learning pathways, vocational integration, and stronger industry–academia collaboration.

Echoing the vision of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to position Andhra Pradesh as a global investment hub and achieve a trillion-dollar economy by 2047, Dudani remarked that this initiative aims to create an ecosystem where the youth of the state acquire real, job-ready skills that contribute to building a Viksit Andhra and Viksit Bharat.
