Amaravati: RajBhavan, which has been renamed as Lok Bhavan, will be developed at a cost of Rs159 crore.

The 55th Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) meeting, which was held here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, resolved to develop Amaravati as an innovative city. Naidu said Amaravati capital should be developed as a creative city giving more priority for greenery.

Naidu said every structure in the capital should have some speciality with more greenery. The State Government conducted elaborate study for the designs of Amaravati capital, he added.

The meeting approved several proposals of CRDA and Amaravati Development Corporation. The meetingapproved to develop Judicial Academy with Rs165 crore, to avail of NABARD loan of Rs7,380 crore and to call for tenders at a cost of Rs532 cr to link Seed Access Roads to National Highway No. 16.

The CRDA meeting also approved the second phase of land pooling notification. The officials informed the Chief Minister about the ongoing works in Amaravati including Government buildings, residential blocks of Ministers, MLAs and All India officers. The Chief Minister said NTR statue should be set up at Neerukonda. Officials should study various such national and international projects before taking up the NTR statue project. He said that the capital should reflect the culture of Telugu people.

Minister P Narayana, Chief Secretary K Vijayanand, Municipal Administration Principal Secretary Suresh Kumar and CRDA officials were present.
