Kings Infra Ventures to set up Aqua Tech Park in Srikakulam

Visakhapatnam: As part of efforts to position Andhra Pradesh as a global hub for smart, technology-driven and sustainable aquaculture, a first of its kind Aquaculture Technology Park will come up in Srikakulam, near here.Andhra Pradesh accounted for an export of $2.36 billion worth of seafood, mostly white-leg shrimp cultured by the aqua industry during 2023-24. An estimated eight lakh farmers are dependent on the aquaculture industry for their livelihood. The project proponent, Kings Infra Ventures Limited signed the landmark MoU with the State Government to develop the Rs2,500 crore, 500-acre Kings Maritime Aquaculture Technology Park near Srikakulam, close to Visakhapatnam. As part of the agreement, the government has nominated the District Collector of Srikakulam to identify suitable land parcels and expedite all statutory approvals, enabling immediate commencement of Phase I operations once the land is finalised.
